The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.Students who want to enroll to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, CFTI, and State Governments funded Institute and other Institutions should pass the JEE (MAIN) Exam to take admission.

Students who have passed class 12th/ equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 can appear in JEE Main 2020.
Students can appear for two consecutive years only.
Students appearing two times in a year will be counted as one.
For B.tech: Physics, Mathematics with one from Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject as other subject.
For B.Arch: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects are compulsory.
For B.Plan: Mathematics is compulsory.

JEE Exam Duration
Time Duration: 3 hours.
PWD Students with 40% disability will get extra time of 1 hour.
JEE Exam Format
The questions in Papers I and Paper II will be of objective type. As per new changes, the paper will also have questions in which answers are to be filled as numerical values.
The drawing test of B.Arch paper will be of subjective type.

JEE Score
NTA releases the JEE Main cut off marks once the exam concludes and the results are declared.
Candidates who have obtain score equal to the JEE Main cut off will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced.

Candidates applying for JEE Main 2020 can choose up to 4 preferred exam center in different cities. Based on the preferences of the candidate, the officials will allot the exam center.

Candidates should be among the top 2, 45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2019.
