New Zealand generally has two intakes i.e. January and July, with few universities offering multiple intakes in September and November. You should start your admission process around six months before the application deadline. Typically, most universities have three deadlines during one intake.If you are looking to get admission into vocational courses, then some courses may have admissions open even in March, April, May or July.

General exams -
GRE – The Graduate Record Examination is taken by students applying to graduate schools to pursue Post Graduation Admission.
SAT exam is conducted by College Board for the students who want to secure admissions at an undergraduate level. The SAT exam consists of 4 sections which evaluate the mathematical, writing, verbal and reading skills of a candidate. There are two type of SAT exam “SAT Reasoning Test” and “SAT Subject Test”. SAT is Writing-based examination. There are no eligibility criteria and age limitation set by the conducting body for enrollment. The duration of SAT exam is 3 hours without essay section and 3 hours and 50 minute with Essay. SAT Test is conducted 7 times annually. The SAT exam has a minimum and maximum score range of 400 to 1600 and the average SAT score is 1060. There are currently 74 Test Centers in different cities across India.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
Applications for admissions are available from October the preceding year to March.
Though SAT scores are not required for international students, mentioning the scores help gain entry easily.
For Post graduaate ccourse Students have to produce GMAT scores.
The student should have completed 18 years of age before joining a degree programme.
For undergraduate Engineering courses, the applicant must have at least 12 years of primary and secondary education with Minimum 50% aggregate of PCM combined.
For postgraduate Engineering courses, a bachelor’s degree, Some Institutes may also require some relevant work experience.
Students from non native speaking countries such as those from India are required to take an English proficiency test, usually the IELTS.
A good score in entrance exams like TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, IELTS etc. is required.
To get admission into government university the students should have scored over 70% marks in class 12th
for admission into private universities the students should have scored more than 50% in class 12th
Students should have strong academic background.
