Role

A manager at Bakers Fun is the one who is responsible for the overall operations of the bakery retail store which includes customer service, employee management, inventory control and accounting. Healthy maintenance of the bakery retail store will always encourage customers to revisit.

Tasks & Activities

Customer Service

• Resolving customer queries if any regarding bakery products & services
• Allotting sales persons to customers when the customer is ignored
• Handling customer complaints, understanding their needs and problems, delivering them the best service
• Occasional feedback from customers regarding bakery products & services at least 3 unique customers per day
• Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions regarding bakery products
• Make sure every customer is billed before leaving the store.
• Achieve customer satisfaction through the development of a customer service-oriented culture in the store.
• Ensure feedback from franchisees is shared with the marketing team on regular basis and rolled out.

Employee Management

• Recruiting sales persons whenever the number goes below 5.
• Conducting STOP(Strategic(once in 45days), Tactical(Once in 15days), Operational(Every Day for 10mins)) meetings in a timely manner
• Maintaining Employee attendance based on the biometric machine
• All Staff including the Security and Housekeeping adhere to Uniform standards
• Giving Orientation of the store for new employees
• Creating a training schedule for newly recruited employees or old employees in areas where they are lacking skills.
• Paying employee salaries on time based on their attendance
• Managing monthly employee shift timetable

Accounting

• Handling daily expenses using expense tool in the POS
• Timely Payments to Vendors
• End of day cash handling according to the sales reports in POS
• Fort nightly accounting handover to the CEO
• Preparation of daily and monthly sales targets and maintaining the sales reports
• Answering queries posted by CEO in terms of accounting
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

Inventory Control

• Using the stock module in POS for Inventory control
• Ordering products to vendors based on the wanting reports generated by the POS
• Responsible for Stock and Pilferage maintenance, perpetual inventory and store stock count to control shrinkages and pilferages
• Identifying new trendy products related to bakery services in the market at least once a month and see if they are suited to be sold in the store
• To ensure that the Visual Merchandising in the Store is as per guidelines.
• Responsible for conserving and protecting company assets and inventory by regular stocktake of assets and merchandise inventory.

Sales

• Responsible for achievement of set Sales target for the store.
• Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
• Ensure all marketing and promotional activities are executed as per timelines and monitored to achieve the Promotion Objective as per the season.
• Manage all other matters pertaining to store sales and perform additional tasks as required.

Measurement Metrics

• Accuracy of maintaining Cash draw
• The number of auditings done per month and drawing conclusions
• The number of sales targets achieved given by the CEO
