Mandatory Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong object oriented design knowledge with Core Java
• Hands on Experience on Collections Framework, Multithreading and Exception Handling
• Hands on experience on J2EE application development (Servlets, JSP)
• Hands on experience on Spring MVC Framework, Spring IOC Framework
• Hands on experience on ORM framework like Hibernate etc.
• Sound Knowledge of J2EE containers (tomcat, jboss, jetty ...etc)
• Sound knowledge of relational databases, MySQL and SQL Server
• Good Knowledge of scripting libraries like Angular JS, jQuery, Knockout etc.
• Experience with Work Management Tools like TFS, JIRA
• Experience with Version control systems like TFVC (TFS)/ GIT /SVN
• Knowledge of Unit Testing framework (JUnit etc)
• Hands on experience with XML (XSD, Parsers) , JSON, XSLT
• Knowledge of Logging Frameworks like Apache Log4, SL4J etc.
• Knowledge of Build and Deployment Tools like Jenkins, Maven, Graddle etc.
• Hands on Experience in Apache web server and Tomcat server setup

Good to have knowledge:

• REST architecture
• Knowledge of Code Review Tools like Sonar, PMD etc.
• Performance tuning of java applications (JVM Profiling)
• Experience in working with Linux based platforms
• Experience with search engine technologies like Lucene, SOLR, Elasticsearch etc.
• Agile Methodologies

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Project Managers, and Team members to implement functionalities from business specifications/requirements
• Get involved in entire lifecycle including analysis, development, fixing and monitoring of issues on the assigned delivery lines
• Supervise / Prepare and update related technical documents
• Do hands-on coding, code reviews and unit testing
• Proactively mentor fellow team members
• Focus on clean high-quality code and established design patterns
• Quickly learn new technologies, implement those and share learning with other team members.
