The Data Analyst is part of a wider team that provides actionable and accurate information & data that drives strategic business decisions within and outside Real Estate.

What’s the role?
As Data Analyst you will be part of a team driving efficiency and effectiveness improvements in our global processes and systems; focusing on data & management information, providing support and deliver MI & Reporting to the RE business.

Your accountabilities will include:
• Acting as custodian to drive the HSE Performance data assessment in RE, this includes data gathering, accurate and on time performance management reporting (including requirements set by the Shell Group).
• Provide data input to HS benchmark reviews.
• Being the focal point for the HSE SP sharepoint sites
• Liaising with the Global and cross-business data reporting custodian, Business Delivery Teams and IT System Focal Points to ensure data quality and integrity
• Coaching and training of Regional staff e.g. on Group reporting requirements or as Global Fountain Incident Management gatekeeper
• Co-creating RE Data and Analytics products in consultation with stakeholders, users and functional leads being responsible to provide solutions to the reporting needs for RE professionals.
• Process improvements, effective collaboration with different teams and continue to learn new technologies and practices recommended by Shell – Agile, Power Apps, ADF etc.
• Continuous improvements, working in a natural team environment, agile framework; being a team player is the success factors of this role.
• Communicate effectively your strong business acumen and build the business goal using Power BI and ADF.

What we need
You will have had previous experience in handling large and complex data set and derive trend analysis, correlation, data discrepancy and data quality ensuring constancy of data across all platforms. You must bring Power BI solutions experience to address reporting needs for RE professionals which should enable tracking leading indicators for each of the business units. Experience in Safety and Environment performance would be preferred.

Furthermore, you should bring:
• Proven experience in power BI reporting/ Azure data factory/ SharePoint development.
• Be able to performs ETL [Extract, Transfer & Load] activities. Expertise in Data stage, solid understanding of Data warehousing concepts with significant experience with ETL Business Intelligence projects.
• Provide Power BI solutions to report requirements for RE professionals which should enable tracking leading indicators for each of the business unit.
• Experience in SharePoint end to end development and creating workflow solution
• Skilled at stakeholder management and being able to effectively manage assigned timelines; juggling multiple projects and responsibilities to ensure that the systems and process are systematically aligned & integrated with stakeholders (suppliers & staff) and business partners.
• Good experience of Azure storage services such as Blob, Data Lake, Table Storage
• Be a strong team player by actively contributing to deliver a common goal, sharing experiences and best practice to deliver together.
• Support challenge based on actionable (accurate) information & data that drives strategic business decisions within and outside Real Estate
• Be able to apply change concepts and principles necessary to effectively manage and influence the people-side of change and be able to identify, initiate and manage improvements required to achieve RE business goals as part of RE OE team.
• You should have a sound knowledge of process improvements, experienced in collaborating with different teams and continue to learn the new technologies and practices recommended by Shell – Agile, Power Apps, ADF etc.
• Should have strong business acumen which in turn will be effective to understand and build the business goal using Power BI and ADF.
• Be able to deliver under changing business dynamics such as process/ systems / way of working and proactively identify impacted areas and drive initiatives to improve delivery.
• Learner Mindset – Role model curiosity and reflection; encourage people to learn from mistakes and successes
• Maximise performance – Integrate and collaborate across boundaries to maximise commercial value for Shell as a whole.

Flexible working
The role requires you to be flexible to work in shifts to be able support the various Regions across Shell.
