Role: Education Evangelist - Business Development Specialist
About the role: At TCS, we are continuously striving to re-imagine the education ecosystem by leveraging our deep market insight along with our state-of-art technology and platforms. To help extend our aspirations of creating a positive impact in the lives of India’s youth, we are seeking to hire an experienced professional who has prior experience in managing customer relationship, passion for consultative sales and fundamental knowledge of the Education sector. Educational Evangelists needs to engage with decision makers from academic institutions and help them transform the lives of their students with help of TCS iON products and platforms. Education Evangelist will be an entrepreneurial role with P&L responsibility and act as a Brand Ambassador for TCS iON products
Responsibilities: • Evangelizing TCS iON's learning products, platforms & services • Develop an in-depth understanding of all TCS iON products, platforms and services for higher education industry • Build relationship and establish trust among key stakeholders of academic institutions by advocating what’s best for their students and colleges • Create Targeted GTM Universe – End to End Sales pipeline management from Suspect to Closure • Consult students and decision makers of academic institutions - Understand needs and convince management and students by effectively articulating product value propositions • Provide revenue projections - achieve and strive to exceed quarterly targets set by TCS management
Ideal Candidate: • 10 to 15 years of overall work experience • Deep passion for customer interaction and drive for solving their challenges • Must have fundamental knowledge and experience of working in education sector in India • Managed relationship with key customers and has a consultative approach towards sales • Excellent written & verbal communication, executive presentations and time management skills • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and growth • Outstanding customer relationship management experience and negotiation skills • Flexible for domestic travel in India, as needed
