Job Description:
1) Ensure on time ordering of plates, tubes, pipes, gaskets, fasteners and other project miscellaneous items for heat exchangers, columns, reactors and vessels
2) Ensure procurement of project material cost effectively and within budgets as per schedule to ensure minimum raw material stock
3) Ensure material receipt for Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) materials as per plan and optimum lead time
4) Monitor and control Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) cycle for SIC items and production consumables
5) Ensure regular evaluation of suppliers and development of new vendors
6) Manage rate contracts cost effectively covering life cycle cost
7) Drive negotiation as per plan and explore cost effective sources upgrade existing sources for cost effectiveness
8) Ensure on time approval of material and payment to suppliers / vendors
9) Review MSR with purchasers periodically to ensure on time approvals
10) Liaise with internal departments’ viz. design, estimation, manufacturing, quality, stores etc.
11) Ensure on time approval of material and payment to suppliers / vendors

Qualifications Required: Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production)

Work Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Purchase / Materials function in pressure vessels, heat exchangers and column in Fabrication Industry for Engineers and 4 years for Diploma.

Special Skills Required:
1) Knowledge of INCOTERMS
2) Knowledge of Taxes, Levies etc.
3) Operating knowledge of Primavera and ERP software
