The international MBA programs tend to be a mutual learning experience where each student can gain (and provide) significant inputs from/to the peers. A foreign MBA is not just about learning business concepts and theories in the classroom. An international MBA is more practical-oriented and collaborative in nature. A foreign MBA puts much more emphasis on teamwork, real-world business insights, case studies, group projects, role-playing, simulations, case discussions to mention a few.
Entrance Exams for Abroad MBA Admission
TOEFL/IELTS
TOEFL or IELTS is needed to demonstrate your English language proficiency. Both tests are equally acceptable; and they basically evaluate your speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills.
The TOEFL iBT® test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills to perform academic tasks. The test is conducted in the TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) format and TOEFL PBT (Paper-based Test) format. There are no specific eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work in an English speaking country. IELTS is managed by three reputable, international organizations – British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL). It covers four basic language skills – listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
GMAT
GMAT is an online test conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council for students who want to take admissions into various management programs offered by B-Schools all around the globe. The exam is conducted to test the analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills of the candidate.
